In this Eighth Grade unit, students will elevate their linguistic and social consciousness by exploring the profound relationship between Nature, Music, and Global Responsibility. This period is designed to challenge students to look beyond the surface, connecting their personal experiences with the collective duty of preserving our planet and celebrating cultural diversity.

Through a reflective and analytical approach, students will reconnect with the natural world. They will use the Present Perfect to narrate life-changing experiences in different ecosystems and apply Advanced Descriptive Adjectives to evaluate the beauty and fragility of landscapes. Whether describing a misty forest or a vibrant coral reef, students will learn to connect their past actions with the current state of the environment.

The journey continues into the realm of Music and Cultural Identity, where students will analyze the impact of artistic expressions on society. They will learn to design «Sustainable Festivals,» where creativity meets ethics. By mastering Modal Verbs (Should and Must), they will define the logistics of eco-friendly events, ensuring that the rhythm of music remains in harmony with the rhythm of the Earth.

This period focuses on the evolution of the student into a Global Citizen. Through critical thinking and the use of future structures like «Going to» for action plans, students will develop the «Earth & Sound Video» project. By the end of the unit, students will not only have mastered complex grammatical structures but will also have found their voice as active protectors of the environment and advocates for a sustainable, melodic future.

THIRD PERIOD
The third-period English, running from July 8th to November 12th, 2026, bridges advanced environmental exploration with professional global competencies by mastering complex chronological structures. The semester opens with the unit "Adventures in the Wild and the Present Perfect," which establishes precision in reporting personal trajectories, logging survival supplies, and discussing ecological impacts. Students begin with a structural review of long-term predictions using Will/Won't, transition into the morphology of regular and irregular past participles, and master the Present Perfect tense in its affirmative, negative, and interrogative variations using technical camping vocabulary. This linguistic framework is further reinforced through quantitative resource management using count/uncount quantifiers (some, any, a/an, much, many, a lot of) and environmental problem-solving tasks involving indefinite pronouns (someone, anything, nowhere).The curriculum then transitions into the second unit, "Future Careers, Societal Roles and Final Production," connecting global job market trends with civic action. Students analyze corporate profiles using professional vocabulary (environmental engineer, park ranger, digital designer) and qualify these fields with advanced descriptive adjectives (rewarding, demanding, hazardous). This contextual vocabulary is applied during a professional job interview simulation before launching the macro-project of the semester, "The Global Citizen Portfolio." Working in research teams, students compile a multi-chapter technical report using present perfect structures, conditionals, and indefinite pronouns to outline career contributions to regional sustainability. Following intensive speech modulation workshops, the period culminates in a multi-day formal presentation symposium, rigorous peer feedback evaluations, and standardized written diagnostic testing, ensuring community achieves complete linguistic autonomy and academic readiness
